Supercharge
"affliction"
hook yourself up to a car battery and jump into a gravel bed that's been filled to the brim with mud. bring a few very close friends and what you have is a post-seattle slam fest...crowd surfers are allowed but don't wear your sunday best. This song kicks you in the teeth from the start. I would like to hear it produced a bit clearer...however; I am reminded of the attige, "if it ain't broke...don't fix it" it's never enough. Heartfelt, potent grunge with a, well defined, need for the crowd...
"all"
all i ever wanted was everything, all i ever got was nothing...An all encompassing stairway climb to a brief and exhaulted slap in the face, the psychotic guitar solo that stretches into a groovy interlude...is not predictable, I had expected a straight running frontal assault...the lyrics are conscious and well composed...I would like to hear the levels a bit better, "all in all...'All' is a well written piece."
"home"
Is where the heart is...this is a retro-sounding piece. I am reminded of the Ramones, a little soundgarden, and maybe some mudhoney. Very cool. I found the intro to be just as confusing to the song structure as it needed to be.
"gone rider"
hard-edge, fast-paced, unforgiving. It drives to the edge of madness and doesn't look back... I would like to hear the vocals better.
"coo-coos nest"
...it's the voice you use when you talk like someone else... an institutional song...pretty straightforward.
"heugazi"
is this a pun about the band "Fugazi" ...no this is a song about freedom...=) Well comprised breaks and that emo-pop-punk feel, I kept expecting an "oi, oi, oi, oi". this is the song about hangups in love, peace, and freedom.
"what i like"
'...feeling like i just took a shot.' This is how 'the cult' would sound if 'motorhead' drove over to rehearsal and Lemmy got out to wipe Ian A.'s squashed-cat from his shoe...and proceeded to play 'Kink' tunes...very cool visuals. It's a north american punk band that will leave you charged. mental note: must catch a show...asap.
