Artist description
My mission, like all musicians, is to explore the elements of melody & "sonic beauty." [which is a real cheesy phrase, but whatever.] To create electronimusic that sometimes pleases, oftentimes violates, but always stirs some form of emotion in its listener. With that aside, I'm a first year Graphic Design student at Rochester Institute of Technology... |

Artist History
I've been creating various forms of electronic music for roughly 3 years now. After going through artist names: "Steve Danglis and the Magical Musical Smile-Time Machine" , "The Idiot Machine" , "Electroluxica" , "Steve Dangerous" , "My_Pet_Robot" and now, finally, back to "Steve Dangerous" again... I've had difficulty coming up with a "band" name much less surviving an identity crisis. Creating a simple phrase to personify your musical ventures is the single most difficult part of "being in a band" [in my opinion]. Anyone can create aurally pleasing sounds, but it takes *real* talent to come up with a band name ...hmmmmmmmm... nevermind. Any-how, not that it matters, but "Steve Dangerous" has been a nickname of mine since early adolesence. Moving on, I've been involved in much music over the years. Everything from punk rock to rap... I've been there. I never really respected electronic music until I began to surround myself with it. Little by little this genre has taken over my life. I grew up on bands like They Might Be Giants and musically progressed to prefer bands like Ben Folds Five 'n' The Pixies. Now, my tastes span a broader spectrum... gone are the days where I singled in on only that indie crap. Heh...that's not really "band history" though... the probelm is: I don't really have any history. I make music as a hobby and for the love of crafting sound... Hey!
