Artist History Theron has been playing guitar for 16 years. Self-taught, his guitar influences include Greg Howe, Paul Gilbert, and Ritchie Kotzen. Some of his songwriting influences include Matthew Good, Greg Howe, Radiohead, and movie scores. Most of his guitar-oriented (instrumental) songwriting combines fusion and rock with changes not usually heard among guitar instrumental music--bringing a refreshing new style to the table. Throughout his 16 years of playing, he has played in many bands that span music scenes from CT to Boston. Some of these bands include Two Faced, Higher Step, Hocus Pocus, Inate 53, and Pull (now known as Amusia). He has also been singing for 15 years, starting at age 15 in his first band (Eclipse). Sonny sang mostly backups in the bands he was in for the first few years of his musical career, and only in the last couple of years he's aspired to sing lead.
