    Artist History
It all started with a seed -- and look at what it has grown into!! No, seriously now, in 1999, this kid named Jason noticed that his dorky brother Ian, could play the drums. He also realized that he could "rip shit up" on his guitar. So.....what better to do than form a band, right? So he talked to this other kid named Matt. Now the first thing you must realize about Matt is, that he is even a bigger dork than Ian. And due to this dorkiness, Matt could not devote too much time to this band. Anyway, as Matt was feuding with parents (to let him out of his room) Jason realized that he would need a bass player (Matt sang and played guitar). So, he found one more kid, also named Matt (yes, I know this is confusing, so from here on out we will refer to the second Matt as Herman -- yes people really call him Herman). And this Herman character played the bass guitar. Sounds like a band to me!! So this newly-formed, unnamed band, started to play some covers -- some alternative, some punk (actually mostly punk -- three chord songs are sooooo easy). Soon these covers grew boring, and the band decided to write its own songs. The first was brilliently named "Song 1." This was a *good* song, despite what Jason thinks, and we still should play it. Anyway, this song grew to be known as "Lessening," to fit in with the thoroughly sappy lyrics. As the year wore on and on, Matt was able to come to less and less rehearsals. And the other members of the band grew tired of rehearsing without Matt. So, it was not an option for Matt to continue playing in the band -- he really had to focus on his school work becuase he was doing quite poorly. So lacking an singer and rhythm guitarist, this unnamed band continue to practice until one day they found fate, or fate found them. His name was Ross "Sweet T" Tillman. Now one thinkg you must now about Ross, is that is really, really cool. Anyway, this Ross kid could sing a little, so the band started to sound better. In a little while the band, newly dubbed Delta-9 started to write more songs, and play a gig or two. In fact, in December of 2000, Delta-9 played at the John Jay Middle School Dance. Needless to say, all in attendence were awe-struck. So then what better to do than to start recording??? And by a stroke of luck, Jason happened to be interning at a recording studio nearby. Sounds like a good combination to me -- a good band that gets free studio time. Anyway we decided that we should record a song for a 311 Tribute Album that was in the works. We chose to record a cool song by 311 called Eons. Also, we had a stroke of genius and recorded the song acoustic. This was pretty cool, and sounded good, in my humble opinion. So that was our first recording experience, and it brings the short history of our band to the present. One more thing, you might be wondering how our name myseteriously changed from Delta-9 to Mr. Fusion. Well we all realized that Delta-9 was a really stupid name dreamed up by Ross while he was in one of his drug induced stupors. So, we decided upon Mr. Fusion for our name -- now perhaps the name isn't the greatest, but we have a really kick ass logo!!
