    Artist description
Talent is the icing on the cake for this personable group. Influenced by the best of the best "eN" is magnetic. Do you have your player set on repeat? Stacks of smooth powerful vocals, harmonize with an understanding love affair with their instruments. This rythmn section would make Neil Peart and Mike Portnoy smile in appreciation. Reminiscent of the talent and sound of Toto or Styx with the edge of Queensryche. Enough said, this group sells itself.

    Artist History
After being introduced to Dawayne King, Merritt Millsap moved from Nashville to Utah in 1997 to start the recording and writing process of a speculative album project. Combining the pure tones and articulate talent of his acoustic and country roots with the power and edge of progressive metal song-writing was experimental indeed. Heavy vocal harmonic content similar to the Eagles or Restless Heart was the prime directive for the added touch of class. The absence of a unified vision of polish needed for the groups vocal content, sent some of the original songwriters seperate ways. The project pressed on determined to be finished. Pleased with the outcome of this three year endeavor, Merritt established a Record Label (Merit Records, www.meritrecordslabel.com), a recording studio (eN Results www.enresultstudio.com), a Publishing company (www.visionarycorp.com),all designed to launch the first release and support the follow up album currently in production. The product is magnetic, talent attracts talent. Respected musicians readily stepped into the vacant spots, well aware of the music's potential. Rehearsals are currently underway for the bands public appearance this coming fall. Thus, the birth of the band "eN". Is there more to this story and the history of Merritt? You betcha! Hitting the road in 1988 after six years of formal training with Pino conservatory of music, Merritt toured with various bands nationwide, opening for acts such as, Toby Keith, Ronnie Milsap, Restless Heart, Ronna Reeves, Toto, and Jefferson Starship. His keyboard talent reflects his respect for the diversity of his chosen occupation. Merritt’s friendship with the band “Restless Heart” was his greatest influence as he recognized excellent lyrical content contributed in part by Tim DeBois, “The bands mentor and producer at the time”. The years of working through vocalist replacements and covering the high power harmonies combined with "working the trenches" in the club scene, lends well to his ability to present this marketable and dynamic work in “Words of the Frenchman”. When listening to “Words of the Frenchman”, we not only hear some awesome music, and in your face vocals, we also hear Merritt’s heart and soul and the combined efforts of well respected Musicians he considers friends!

    Press Reviews
Strutterzine in the Netherlands says "This band out of Utah has definitely releasing something special, because their debut CD is filled with high quality music. The band mix elements of AOR (JOURNEY, TOTO) and Progressive Rock (SAGA, RUSH) and Progressive Metal (DREAM THEATER, QUEENSRYCHE) into an own melodic rockstyle. The lead vocals of both Tony Horstmanshoff and keyboardplayer/producer Merritt Millsap are very impressive and sound a lot like James LaBrie from DREAM THEATER.""This band should easily get signed to one of the progressive rocklabels from Europe, because their music is not only produced very well, but also the songs are very impressive."
