    Artist History
Stalemate are just 4 kids from suburbia hell, Somers, Ny. The band was founder by T.j. and Colin. T.j. started playing guitar in 1997 and after 6 months or so wanted to start a band. His friend, Colin who also played guitar joined up and then was followed by two friends Rich on Bass and Pat on Drums. This foursome never had one practice with all members in attendence. So for certain reasons Pat was kicked out of the band and Rich was never around when needed so he was also kicked out. T.j. and Colin practiced together two songs for their guitar teacher, John Ficella's picnic. They played MxPx's Under Lock and Key and Blink-182's Dammit together and Colin deicided that a bass player is needed so he picked up Jonh's and with the help of Nick from BRF had a first performace at the picnic. From there they progressed on together and eventually asked Eric to play drums. He agreed and then the band was formed. It was this band for a small while until Colin invited Danny into the band. From then on they played at several parties, fundraisers and school functions under several different band names. The band contiunes to play and practice to this day.
