Artist History started back in nov. of 98. recorded twice with that lineup, kicked singer out, went on as 4 piece, with everyone doing vocals, recorded twice with that lineup.then in jan of 2001, lost guitar player, got a new one...wash rinse lather repeat...

Press Reviews ----------Review from Heartattack #28-------------------------------------------WASE are a screamo band that has a lot of wuss out singing parts and sensitive emotional screaming. the vocalist has a great screaming voice and can pull some of the singing off but sometimes the singing gets a little too off-key and starts to grate. regardless, this sounds a lot better than other bands that play this type of frantic yet melodic hardcore, the production is tight but still holds emotion that makes this band what they are. WASE also has a slight metal edge that subtly shows itself in a few riffs. Playing emo the way it was meant to be played back in day while progressing on it.--------------------------------------------------------------------------------Review from III zine (bay city, MI)-------------------------------------------First off, the artwork is fucking rad for this cd. In the print, it says anthony at creativebomb.com did the art...so i'm sure that is something to check out. The first time I went through listening to the cd it was background music while I was doing homework. The cd ended, and I was a bit confused, because I hadn't realized that there was two different bands on the split because of thier extreme similarities in style. After relistening and seeing what track divided the WASE from Since By Man I was able to distinguish the two. This is my first time hearing With Arms Still Empty. They have a driving yet chaotic feel. They use their multiple vocal screams/singing to convey emotion. I'm really digging the vocals set far in the background on alot of the tracks. Breaks in songs and metal guitar parts make for interesting listening. And heck, at the end of track 4 they even have a little chug going on.------------------------------------------------------------------------------- ---Review from punkduckrecords (RI)---This band is incredible. There music is fast and intricit with slow desperately sad breakdowns. The vocals are just as good ranging from violent screams to despairing emoish harmonies. hailing from grand rapids Michigan, this band is sure to leave you wanting more. If you dig since by man, im pretty sure you will be into these guys. great stuff, simply just great stuff...
