Artist description
A little twang, a little Mersey, and a full tank of diesel, The Stone Throwers play an intriguing mix of alternative country and indie rock. Solemn tales of mistrust and longing are layered with heavy pop melodies and gritty guitar textures. Their songs range from dark melodic ballads to full throttle rock n' roll to gritty dream pop. |

Artist History
Shortly after forming in April 1998, the Stone Throwers released a three song EP. 'Diesel' garnered local support and praise from 90.3 KCMU in Seattle where it entered into rotation. Regular gigs soon followed and gave us a chance to build some momentum. In January 1999 we were featured guests on KCMU's local radio broadcast The Live Room which reached over 5,000 listeners. We have also played numerous summer festivals including the Fremont Fair and the Yakima Folklife Festival. Our first album "this terminal line" was released in May of 2000. We are continuing to perform and are hard at work preparing material for a follow-up. |
