Artist History the Fiction – Biography.In 1998 we started a band in Stockholm, Sweden. It became a four-member group. There have been some changes of who plays what in the band since all of us can play all the instruments, but now we are each settled with one instrument. This is the Fiction:Bass/Vocals - Emanuel LantzGuitar 1 – Bjorn UppekeGuitar 2 – LenniDrums – Jacob BaggeEmanuel and Bjorn have been playing together since the age of twelve. Lenni was the singer and guitar player in a band called “The Lefflers“ before he joined the Fiction in 1998. Jacob joined the Fiction as his first band, and he has been the guitar player until 1999, when Bjorn and Jacob switched instruments. The reason for this was, Bjorn had the fire for guitar and the drums had tempted Jacob for a long time. In 1998 we would rehearse once a week, and when we learned the songs correctly, we'd decide which ones to play. After 2 months we recorded a three-song demo. We didn't take it too seriously back then. A few people were able to listen to it, but nothing major happened. We kept playing, and performed in different schools and some clubs in Stockholm. "Elverket," which holds up to 300 people, was one of the places we performed in. We also played in different schools. In 1999 we continued with our music and decided to record another demo. We recorded 6 songs, and we were happy about the result. We continued playing, and performed in another club called "Tre backar". We feel we are an easily recognizable band, with many different inspirations. We are like an "all in 1" rock band. That's why after a few months we decided to record another demo, with at least 10 songs, so we could capture our eccentric style of music. But it's too bad, though, that we cannot afford to record all the kinds of songs we have. In 2000 Bjorn leaves to join the army. Nothing much happened for 10 months, but right after that we recorded the new demo, with 12 songs.All of the members in the Fiction agree on that the one thing in the world for us, is our music. And we want other people to listen to it. Today we play at least three days a week, and we will push this as far a possible.Stay real!/the Fiction
