Artist History
Beginning somewhere in the haze of '97, The Electra Complex* was formed in Madison, WI by Mike Kilzer and Chris Enyart. This project was an attempt to bring pure emotional sensations to the listener, and focused on the darkest aspects of life. It accomplished it's task beautifully, but because of equipment limitations and an extreme lack of funds, fans were few and far between. During the down-time between T.E.C. albums, Mike began work on a solo project entitled Scearintol.* Please don't ask him what the name means, as he has no idea (It appeared in a notebook in his handwriting, but that's all that is known). The music was great, blending elements of industrial, goth, classical, metal, experimental/ambient, and his own symphonic movements into a unique sound and emotional roller coaster. For years, this was distributed for free to his friends in WI, but never publicized. The years went by, and T.E.C. disbanded while Scearintol continued. Somewhere during the rave years, a techno feel crept into the music. Now, the quest continues to meld genres into the most unique symphonic masterpiece ever created. |
