Artist History
Rhino As A Pet's history starts with the hardrock band Amberdawn. When nothing happened there, former singer Daniel Jonsson decided to form a new band with guitarist Martin Jäverbrant. They became close friends during a videomaking class in the spring of -99. In august 2000 they began to form a band, now known as Rhino As A Pet. They needed a rhythm section to complete the group so Erik Jonsson, friend of Daniel and former bass player of Amberdawn, joined in. Erik in his turn knew the drummer B.O Kjellsson, and now they where four. Daniel started to write songs, and with the help of the other guys they formed the first foundations to songs like "Rhino As A Pet" (which refer to the bandname), Disco Queen, Straight to the Pike, Never Surrender , Free? and Lalala. Right before the band hit the studio a new member joined in, Maria. The thought was that she would be playing some newly written keyboardparts for the demo record, but she became the fifth member. |
