Artist description
MAETRIX is an experiment in sonic blending of styles. They blend 80's feeling melodies and electronic sounds , with 1960's honesty, but yet keep it clean and modern. There is something here for alot of people. They can, if you listen, make you wonder where they get it from (in a good way) |

Artist History
The band was the Brainchild of Donovan Johnson, in 1995 he began piecing together MAETRIX. Unfortunately the band left us in 1998, and there may never be anymore material. They worked on this album since 1996 in a slow and sometimes frustrating manner. Learning from every song. It was never released for sale, only few physical copies exist. After moving to Omaha, NE, the CD was completed in Summer of 1998, and the band seperated shortly after. They formed a small experiment called 52 Pickup, for a short time. After 52 Pickup, the drummer(Nate) and guitarist (Nick) formed Spiral Locomotive, a currently active, and very powerful alternative band. Donovan Johnson (keyboards) regrouped in a project called Dean. Both groups gained alot from the lessons, and cooperation, learned with MAETRIX. These are some of the nicest people. |
