Artist History
Kasino have played Glasgow Barrowlands and T in The Park. They’ve shared stages with Mansun, Eugene Speed, Cosmic Rough Riders, Dave Sharp (ex-Alarm) and assorted other ne'er-do-wells and ruffians, and appeared on various TV programmes and radio shows. |

Group Members
Kasino are Mark Clinton, Guitars; Chris Warden, Bass; Calum MacArthur, Drums; and Gary Marshall, Vocals. Although he's from Bellshill, Mark has never been a member of a Teenage Fanclub soundalike band and does not drink with any members of the BMX Bandits. He caught the fame bug at an early age when, at just four years old, he was shown on the news with frostbite and a wee sad face. Originally from the Isle of Lewis, Calum is getting increasingly fed up with people thinking he's Welsh. He often presents cookery programmes for Gaelic television, although a Naked Chef-style career is frankly unlikely. Inverness-born Gary wibbles about digital music and cyberculture for various magazines, newspapers, Web sites and radio shows, and Chris plays bass, sometimes. |

Press Reviews
"Piano-led melancholia is the name of the game for Scots rockers Kasino on this four-song EP. Think REM breaking particularly bad news to the Manics while U2 dolefully stab at a grand piano." - Kerrang!, EP Review"Classy 4-track treat for lovers of a big sound - Eyes leads off with soaring vocals, crashing chords, and a great shouty call-and-response chorus of 'we're so cynical/nothing's magical'. For diversity, the 9 minute title track fully deserves the description 'epic' with searing guitars eventually giving way to subdued piano. Kasino, then - at a stadium near you soon." - Jockrock Fanzine, EP Review"Vocalist Gary Marshall sings like an angel on angel dust. From wistful and mellow to angry and downright dirty, his voice is the ideal focal point for the band's tightly spun tunes."- BFM Magazine, Live Review"Beautiful songs build an elaborate structure of emotion and musical textures that increase with each moment. Deep, resonant guitars and a riveting voice" - Listen.com |
