Artist description
Pop/Rock as defined from 1965-1974. I call it YesterPop because it sounds like what used to be called Pop, as opposed to today's Brittney/Boy Band definition. Heavy emphasis on the song. The song is God - the arrangements and instrumentation can be anything that serves the song, but I tend to like older, obscure instruments like mellotrons and optigans, and toy instruments. Anything ragged or rotten or rusty, as Oscar the Grouch might say. |

Artist History
I've done a lot of stuff. I've played as a sideman either live or in the studio with people as diverse as Juliana Hatfield, Jill Sobule, Ben Arnold, Stargazer Lily, Amanda Marshall and even Bernadette Peters. I've written songs for people, sung national ad jingles and done just about everything other than put out my own record, which is what I'm about to do now. |
|
Instruments
I've played guitar since I was 5, starting singing even before that. I'll also play keyboards, whistles, theremin or whatever else I can lay my hands on. |
