Artist History
Bob helsloot (1956) started at the age of 18 years as bluesguitar-player in several groups (among them with Hans Dulfer). From the age of 20 he had his own jazztrio accompanied many famous soloists. In this time he developed as a composer/arranger. He conducted, composed and organized several jazz-orchestra’s; most famous was The Modern Jazz Orchestra. Twice it became a winner of the Meervaart Jazz Concour in The Netherlands and played at The Northsea Jazzfestival and several radio performances. From the age of 30 he became mostly active in classical music and the writting of theoretical essays on harmony and instrumentation. From the age of 35 Bob worked in commercial music on piano, guitar and as a singer. Throughout this period he has been teaching on these instruments and giving workshops on jazz-improvisation. These days Bob is also active in his studio. |
