Artist History
Speaking of Heroes was formed in January of 2000 by Rob Nicholls, Ryan Howlett (ex-Capone), Kelly Burnham (ex-By A Thread) and Tim Knudsen (ex- Diesel Candy)They have been described as "as hard-hitting as their live show" and although they pull influences from such bands as At The Drive-In, Braid, Sensefield, and the Get Up Kids, Speaking of Heroes' have created a sound all their own. Speaking of Heroes recorded their first full-length album ("familiar illustrations") with Blair Calibaba (Gob/ By A Thread/ Choke/ Sum 41 etc.) in the fall of 2001 and are planning numerous canadian and american tours in support of its release. When the boys of Speaking of Heroes come to your town, it is a show you do not want to miss. |
