Artist description
Michael R. Hicks has uplifted audiences all over the world - from the Middle East to California, from Calgary, Canada to Atlanta, Georgia. He has performed with artists such as John Canaan, Bryce Neubert, Nancy Hansen, Peter Brienholt and Jenny Frogley. His latest project, Creations, is an album of original piano-based instrumental music. Moved from his many travels around the world, Michael has written songs about inspiring places, like the redwoods of California, the emerald green lakes of Alaska, the top of Mt. Kilimanjaro in Tanzania, Africa, and the historic Holy Land. Michael has released a CD of solo piano arrangements of hymns entitled To Satisfy the Law, published the piano book for that CD in 1997. In 1999, he produced a CD single and sheet music of As Sisters In Zion & We'll Bring the World His Truth, written for the Especially For Youth program. Michael's arrangement of I Know That My Redeemer Lives is included on the 2000 EFY album, Forward With Faith. He has composed themes for companies and arranged songs for groups like Brigham Young University's Vocal Point. |
