Artist description Everywhere you go, people are buzzing about the premier sensation that is just as unique and outstanding as their sound. They are Jesus Palomino! The Memphis, TN based trio are a distinct group of musicians gifted with a style and creativity that is second to none. Exploring every variety of musical genres-including jazz, blues, pop, metal, and hard rock, Jesus Palomino is taking the local music scene by storm. Released in 2000, "Some Place We Shouldn't Be", the group's debut EP, quickly caught attention spreading from the local Memphis scene to Germany. "Holly's Garage", the band's introductory single, became one of the most popular songs and is often requested during the group's public performances. According to 94.1 The Buzz, a local radio station, "Holly's Garage" was the most requested local song for two solid weeks. Phone calls and e-mails began rolling in along with offers for more public appearances. As a result, JP also gets regular airtime on 93X, another local radio station, and radio stations in Germany. Jesus Palomino is currently working on the follow-up "Seventh House", a more eclectic variety of ballads and heavier material. The single "Inside" has already topped the charts on MP3.com for the Memphis, TN Pop & Rock category. Chris Wilhite (Lead Vocals & Bass) describes the bands maturity, "We have collectively grown as individuals and as a group within the last few years. Our material now has a more intense, sensitive feeling that has only developed as we experience more in our lives. It continues to grow, and our love for music and entertaining only 'fuels the fire'". Performing is one of Jesus Palomino's strongest loves. All members have been playing the local circuit for many years and have performed in several major cities along the East Cost and throughout the southern United States. With Geoff's detailed and powerful guitar melodies, Shannon's precise heavy-hitting beats, & Chris' soul-filled vocals and deep cutting bass lines, the band's live concerts showcase their experience, energy, & love for the music. JP has been a featured artist at both DingoFest 2000 & 2001 and frequents the Hard Rock Café-Memphis along with various clubs in Nashville, TN. With this, Jesus Palomino has gained a wide base of fans who celebrate their commitment to excellence in the arts.
