Artist History
Chris Norris has been playing music since the early 1990s. His early influences were heavy metal bands, where technique often superceded feel. The emptiness he felt set him in search of oneness with the universe, Chris experimented with the psychadelic and progressive rock stylings of the '60s and '70s. In the mountains of West Virginia, Chris developed a bluesey, spacious lead guitar style reminiscent of the glory days of classic bands such as Pink Floyd. In 1997, Chris started a journey west, finding himself in Texas. Settling in Arlington, he placed his stamp on a well-established band called King Louis. King Louis played in the same local scene that spawned Pantera, a distinguished hard rock band.Chris returned to the mountains this year and presently lives in Boulder, Colorado. In recent times, his influences have gravitated to singer/songwriters who use nature as a metaphor, such as Michael Hedges and Ottmar Liebert. He is working on a dynamic solo album that you won't want to miss! Check this Web site often for news on the upcoming release! |
