    Artist History
Deus Ex Machina was born in 1998, with only one integrant - Nestor Guerra. Colaborating in the first album, Aurora Ramírez. The fundamentals of Deus Ex Machina is musical experimentation; with this principle axle the band pretends to touch any type of music. Nearly all the development is done on computers, with digital recording. The band doesn´t pretend to make music for mases; Deux Ex Machina's music is minimalistic, for little groups that can like the evolution of the band. "Lo Spiritu Laceratto" was done between Sept '98 and Jan '99, and recorded in Bunker Studios, with the colaboration of many friends. The album's roots comes from industrial metal. It's main component came from the Doom/Def Metal style. These influences are evident in the first album. Groups such as NIN, Die Krupps, or Form242 or Front Line Assembly influence in the electronic base of the album. In the Summer of 1999, started the recording of the second album: "Primitive". It was a electronic rithmic experimental music, breeding only 3 tunes. These themes had a big influence of music brought from India, highly repetitive and transporting. From the end of the recording of "Primitive" until winter '00 Deus Ex Machina studied the composition of his best album. Phylosofy, psicology and aesthetics get together to give "L'Odissee Des Foux", a unique piece in conceptual music: ambients, noises, darknesses wiven with methafisicl ideas. Each whisper of the album has a reason. Actually, he's working on "The Last Days Of Deux Ex Machina", that will hopefully be seeing the light in January 2002. Deus Ex Machina has also collaborated in soundtracks for shorts, theater, etc. Up to now, Nestor Guerra carries on being the only component.
