Artist History SHoE is an hardcore band from Billerica, MA. The whole idea to start a band came from the lead guitarist Dave Dillon. He was currently the lead guitarist for Eminent Resistance at the time. He wasn?t very happy with his position in Eminent Resistance and he really wanted to start a band where he?d be able to put a lot more input into the style of music and the type of songs he wanted to play. So everyday he?d come into school and talk about how he wanted to make a band and he?d call it SHoE. SHoE, for some reason, was some word that he liked to say a lot. So he had been talking to his friend Andre Buzzotta a lot because he played drums and they had been talking about starting a band since maybe September or October of 2000. They never really committed to it though. Well finally by the end of January 2001, SHoE became a reality. Dave found Dan Lewis, the former bassist of Eminent Resistance, and Mike Donahue, the former guitarist of Inflict. So now SHoE consisted of Dave Dillon on Lead Guitar, Mike Donahue on Rhythm Guitar and Vocals, Dan Lewis on Bass Guitar, and Andre Buzzotta on Drums. Now things were really working out with SHoE and Dave ended up quitting Eminent Resistance in February. At some point in February SHoE recorded their first song "Have You" in Dave Dillon?s basement. And I guess it was at this point that Mike and the rest of the band weren?t satisfied with the vocals. Well, I (Dave Martin) had been going to all the practices since the band had started and I guess I kinda agreed with them. I think it was the next week when the band that I sang for, Nothing To Lose, broke up. So I think it was a week later when Dave Dillon, Dan Lewis, Andre Buzzotta, and I were just hanging out over Dave Dillon?s house with our friend Jeremy. Dave, Dan, and Andre decided they wanted to practice a little bit. The only problem was they didn?t have vocals to go along with the songs. So, I picked up Mike?s lyric notebook and song along to what they were playing. So that night I became the lead singer of SHoE. SHoE now consists of Dave Martin on vocals, Dave Dillon on Lead Guitar, Mike Donahue on Rhythm Guitar, Dan Lewis on Bass Guitar, and Andre Buzzotta on Drums.
