Artist History
After living in an unhappy family situation for many years, Shan left home at age 13 and learned to fend for himself. During that time he dropped out of school and lived with some "Rastaman" on the beach. There he sang for them and they encouraged him to take his music further.Throughout his life, Shan has had a reverence for his creator. This reverence as well as his Jamaican heritage have been reflected in many of his songs. However the truly wonderful aspect about Shan's songs is his voice. His voice is able to capture ones attention with a sound that speaks right from the soul. Speaking to the heart of every individual he reveals not only our deepest emotions but our everyday concern as well.Shan's dream is not only to care for the nature in which we live, but to help the needy children of his country. He has never forgotten being alone and homeless on the streets. Shan Coleman, like a time bomb is ready to explode, are you ready for him? |
