Artist History
Scotty B (aka Scotty Napalm) hails from New Orleans, where dem blues wa born annat soulful music runs deep. Born the son of an opera soprano, it would only be a matter of getting past puberty to start a musical incarnation of his own. Scotty has been fronting bands since age 14, and picked-up a guitar a year later. His first band "Mom's Warehouse" (1991) featured emerging Nashville solo-artist, Rory Collins, on lead guitar.
In 1998, Scotty found himself in Dallas, TX, where continued his musical career as lead vocalist for Idiot Box, Dallas' Sons of Ska. As the ska-thing ran the resurgence-well dry, he naturally turned back to the music that's guided him through life, and created the electrifying punk outlet "Moneyshot, The American Boogie Gods" (featuring other former members of idiot Box) -- performing as a lead vocalist/rhythm guitarist.
Unfortunately Moneyshot's success was extremely short-lived as their second show was to be their last. In April 2001, Scotty broke-up the band to follow his teenage dreams to New York City, where he resides in the East Village.
After 2 years of solo performances, soul-searching, and rigorously writing new material, Scotty B joined NYC's energetic glam punk n roll sensations, Napalm Stars as rhythm guitarist and backing vocalist. He continues his songwriting efforts towards the group these days... and his song "Fat Lip" has proven to be a successful addition to the Napalm's stellar set. |
