Artist History Throughout my travels my heart and spirit were always open to learning the history of aplace, words with special meaning in another language or the music thatreflects a people. My vision for this work began as a collective reflection ofthe musical traditions of Europe and the Middle East that have, over the years,created an influence on my music. Beholden to my Celtic and Arabic roots, andhaving a love for the musical expression of the African people, in this body ofwork, we created a passage through these cultures shaped, in part, by theinfluences of cinematic soundtracks. We committed ourselves to the passion we share in celebrating thebeauty of diversity, so without surrender to one musical genre, eclecticismbecame our course. And serendipity asserted itself time and again throughoutthe process of the writing and production of this album. The music, the songs, the musicians and mygifted producers, flowed together with ease as if choreographed by some cosmicintent.
