Artist History The Danny Isaacs Band, from Indianapolis Indiana, captures the best elements of alternative and pop rock. Their sound combined with remarkable songwriting, makes for radio friendly songs that add an edge to the mainstream alternative. As Ted Nicely, one of the music industries top producers ( Fugasi, Tripping Daisy, Tracy Bonham, Shudder To Think ) describes, their music has " kind of a Sublime, Grateful Dead vibe to it, good work! " The band is set to release a 5 song E.P in mid-July, followed by a full length album in November. In the studio, Danny is in a sense, a one man band. He writes all of the material, plays the drums, bass, guitar and sings all the lead vocals. His wife Deborah Isaacs handles the backing vocals, and occasionally he will bring in someone for the guitar solos. As for playing live, Danny usually utilizes the members listed in the fact sheet. Regardless of the line up, they always put on a very energetic and emotionally charged show. The band is currently planning a tour of the Midwest to support the release of the new album. With the big Internet/music business boom that's occurring right now, Danny decided to get involved. He uploaded a couple of songs to the LoudENERGY.com website, which is also a record company. Two days after submitting the songs, Danny was contacted by the companies Director of A&R about being a FEATURED ARTISTS on the loudenergy website. Since the Danny Isaacs Band has been on the site, they have consistently been in the Top 5 downloads for the alternative genre. They have also been receiving good reviews from the sites producers. As for past experience, Dannys life has essentially been one long musical journey. He has been musically active since he joined his first band at the age of 14. Danny has performed the Halftime Show at a Sold-Out Pacers Playoff game. He has toured extensively in Florida and Indiana with two different bands. He has appeared on a Cable Television show in Nashville Tennessee, where he was offered a publishing deal as a result of the appearance, but eventually turned it down. Also, he has performed alot of work as a studio musician for other artist. Being able to play drums, bass, guitar and sing, he has been able to stay very busy musically. With the release of their 5 song E.P and the Full Length album nearing, the Danny Isaacs Band is definitely on the move. This along with plans for a tour to promote the album, and with all of the exposure that the band is receiving on the Internet, the Danny Isaacs Band is more than ready to take the next step up that ladder of success.
