Artist description
Singer saxophonist Christopher Creviston has appeared in concert with jazz greats like Jon Faddis, Bobby Shew, Bunky Green, Jim Snidero, Bob Mintzer and Vinny DiMartino, and has had the pleasure of working with pop legends like Crystal Gayle, Maureen McGovern, Billy Porter and Ben Vereen, and jokester Bob Hope. As a classical musician Creviston has toured and recorded with the Detroit Symphony, been a finalist in the New York Concert Artist's Guild's solo competition, a finalist in the Fischoff International Chamber Music Competition and has won numerous other competitions. He has appeared as featured soloist with many orchestras, including the National Symphony Orchestra of Washington, D.C. Now based in New York City, Creviston works mainly with his own band, CRUSHED VELVET, whose latest cd has been earning the band welcome new recognition through radio play. He tours nationally and records with Set'em Up Joe (a rockabilly swing band on a BMG subsidiary label) and works with Bluu (an Adult Contemporary band reminiscent of Dave Matthews and the Doobie Brothers). He also works frequently with R&B/cabaret singer David Raleigh, and the very popular Prince tribute Days of Wild. Until her passing in 2001, he was also on call for jazz chanteuse Peggy Cone. In the words of world renowned cellist and conductor "Slava" Rostropovich, "Bravo! Bravo! Bravo!!..." |

Okay -- this author states "...the reviews are meant to be taken not seriously and if you think they are serious, consider seeking professional help and perhaps purchasing a sense of humor..." With that in mind, check out our review on the ALL-SUCK REVIEW site (he says every band SUCKS!) It's funny : http://www.kjvpresents.com/asr/reviews/completed/crushedvelvet.htm |
