Artist History BABS is powerpop at its finest. Their big guitars, smooth harmonies and catchy hooks will move you and put a song in your head that you just can’t get out. BABS emerged onto the NW scene in early 2000 playing to enthusiastic audiences around Oregon and Washington. Touring extensively, the band quickly developed a loyal following and toured along side many local and national acts in clubs and festivals , including NXNW. BABS regrouped in 2002, after a short hiatus, with an edgier and more melodic style, infecting fans and innocents alike with their sweaty, energetic sounds.

Group Members ADAM ROHOSY -- Guitar/lead Vocals Adam fronted the Albuquerque alt-punk trio Pervis in the early 90’s, sharing the stage with national acts including The Afghan Whigs, The Posies, Flop and Gas Huffer. He Later moved to Europe where he toured and recorded with the Brit-pop sensations Fabulon (now Stig Roar Husby), releasing their full length CD entitled Vanity Case. RICH TREECE -- Lead Guitar/Vocals Rich hails from Portland Oregon where he fronted the band Sky Blue Mind. Playing to packed shows around Oregon he supported their self-titled release. His melodic sense and keen arranging talents add amazing depth to BABS’ sound. BILLY REED -- Bass Guitar/Vocals Billy is a player in the “retro” vein ala Kinks, Beatles, Bowie and other influences he grew up hearing. He comes to Portland via Los Angeles where he played night after night in some of the most famous rock venues known to the West Coast. Billy is also an accomplished guitar player. TODD MORITZ -- Drums/Vocals Todd has been playing the drums since the ripe age of 4 when he was just tall enough to reach the pedals of his first Snoopy drum kit. Since then he’s played with everyone he could, recording and touring with local and national acts alike including Dave Mathews Band, Blues Travelers, G. Love @ Special Sauce and Parliament.
