Artist description
Southpaw is a solo hip hop artist from the Indianapolis area. He is known mainly for his mastery of multisyllabic rhyming. His main goal is to please truheads with a combination of rhyming and wit along with many other hip hop associated talents. On his 6 track demo tape entitled "Raising Mentalities EP", Southpaw displays his ability to hold his own weight on the mic. This Demo introduces Southpaw to the rap game as an MC who is out to get respect. That has set the stage for me to remain lyrically as strong, if not stronger for my freshman album entitled "Raising Mentalities LP." This album is where i will display all of the good qualities of my Demo but combining this with an appeal to the commercial scene, along with the tru heads which will always be my number one priority. This 12- 16 track LP will be complete within 4 months and will display some skills that arent displayed on the demo, such as storytelling abilities, and a small dose of comical rapping. Also "Raising Mentalities LP" will be much better produced than the EP. Southpaw caught a lot of shit for his production on the first one and this pressure has forced him to spend quite a bit more time on the beats. Well until "Raising Mentalities LP" is complete Southpaw will be spendin a lot of time in the lab, so enjoy the demo for now. |
