Pyrate was the wildest group of long-haired rednecks to ever come out of the south. From 1984 to 1996, Pyrate wrecked havoc in countless clubs, bars, and other venues, and created some great hard rock music that is still relevant today. |

Artist History
Formed in 1984 by guitarist Curt Granger and original members Jeff Stewart (drums) and Charlie Brodie (bass). Mark Verwyst became the first frontman/vocalist for the band. Later after a lineup change that featured Tom Brown (guitar), Tommy Travis (vocals), Craig Mullins (drums), and Tate Beckham (bass), the band began touring the club circuit all across the southeast. Tim Ward (drums) entered the band shortly thereafter. In 1992 original member Curt Granger left the band, and Alex Garmen (guitar) joined. |
