Artist description “Sweeping soundscapes,” and “melodic crunch,” are two phrases commonly used by guitarist Chris Burns of Pulse when asked to describe the band’s sound. In a culture where the bureaucracy of the mainstream music business seems to rely solely on the amount of revenue that an artist can draw to justify the marketing of a product without considering the messages and creativity behind said product, Pulse wishes to set a new standard. They seek to reach fans through the coupling of positive, sociological messages with creative composition and form.
