Artist description
Once there was a time when Indie music actually did mean something more than bland guitar music liked by Bank Managers. Indie music was about being cool having a great haircut, and of course music that was wonderful and exciting to listen to. But that reality faded away and died. Now comes a hero ready to reclaim the throne, with his attitude and songs, Indie music can be saved. Praise Knicker Boy, let all middle aged fools buy the latest Travis and Coldplay, while the young cool dudes can join in the Indie Revolution. Dad beware here comes Knicker Boy. |

Press Reviews
"Instant catchy punk rock at it's rocking best. Pete on Broughton Street takes you straight back to 1977. Sol Ra Solar is more 1960's pop psyche, and it's Syd Barrett groove will appeal to all lovers of this kind of music. Overall an enjoyable experience, I look forward to hearing more." Edinburgh Evening News Sept 2001
"Wild production and a rocking sound with a wicked reverb vocal, leaves a good feeling in your head and heart. Good to know this kind of music is still being made." Pete on Broughton Street review - Big Issue Oct 2001
"Great Indie sound from Knicker Boy. This single is a must for all Indie fans sick of the bland acoustic formula of the latest 'Indie' bands." Edinburgh Evening News Jun 2002
"Knicker Boy produces Indie Music for the left field audience, it's retro sound gives the sound a vibrant freshness, that is so lacking in the modern Indie mode. His apparent disgust for what Indie music has become is clear, and for this he should be saluted. After all The Smiths can and do destory the likes of Coldplay, and Knicker Boy lets us know that. The trouble with Lisa is a wonderful reminder of a better time. Any song that has the refrain "Sleazy sleazy, tease me tease me!" is a winner." - NME Sept 2002 |
