Artist History
At the beginning of 1998 Chapter 13 was founded by Exul with the aim to produce "metal-influenced" EBM/Industrial. With "metal-influenced" they did not absolutely refer to an excessive use of distorted guitars but rather the kind of the style/arrangement.After a first creative period the results were presented on their first Demo-CD "Qliphotische Kraft" in 1999. On this recording the following four musicians took part:Exul (Programming, Vocals), T.h.o.r.n.s (Programming, Vocals), Nidhoegg (Vocals) and Morchica (Vocals)Although the CD sounds very raw, which was mainly based on the simple recording conditions, it has found some enthusiastic supporters. Encouraged by this mostly good criticism they immediately start to work on new songs certainly without T.h.o.r.n.s, who couldn't invest any time because he began to study. Not long before the recordings in autumn 2000 Exul fired Nidhoegg and Morchica because of personal discrepancies. He quickly found a suitable substitute in Azazel and Aeternus. In winter 2000 they could start to record. In february 2001 the recordings were complete. The result is called "Auf Das Wesentliche Reduziert" and contains very different songs which do not associate with a fixed music genre. They represent a dark mix between EBM, Metal, Gothic, Electro ... The new material lyrically deals with all forms of hatred. |
