    Artist History
Gary DeCet had played with a cover band for four years. He had severed his ties with this band and wanted to start a band that played all original songs. Kyle and Manny also played in this band. Soon after Gary left, Manny and Kyle severed their ties as well. Robert had a band history with Kyle. Robert, is a dazzling left-handed guitar soloist, and he was asked to take part in the new formation. Gary Edward came in contact with the band through a business relationship. Gary had been the singer for previous bands in the Houston area. He continued to write lyrics. His style was aggressive. His lyrics were thought provoking. Gary Edward and Gary DeCet started writing the music. They began to create music that had a unique combination of rock, funk, and spoken poetry. During this process they felt a D.J. would be needed to complete the sound. This was done. Henceforth, creating the sound they have today. The result is a unique combination of rock, funk, spoken poetry and techno. Their performances show a variety of “old school rock and roll” to new millennium style rock. They have played many shows since their conception around Houston. They recently returned from performing in Hollywood, California. They performed at an Industry showcase show and have been invited back in 2003 to perform at a music festival. Due to be released: DVD of the Industry showcase show at “56” in West Hollywood late 2002 Recently released: self titled CD. “ Bad Candie”

    Press Reviews
NEW REVIEW I turn my jaded ear to Bad Candie, after listening to indie music all day, not expecting much. But happily I am refreshed by quality singing and their innovative hard rock/industrial sound. There should probably be a parental warning on this one though, they use the f word. This dark song features a large rock nightclub set of instruments, including bass, rhythm and lead guitar, lots of effects, some keyboards, and a male vocalist. It is about a bad woman and a bad breakup. Lots of guitar crunching ensues during the chorus "Confusion". Fine for lovers of rock. Queenie's Choice Review V "BAD CANDIE" Is it a amalgam or a hodgepodge? A rave in the middle Of the Vietnam war turns into a jawbreaking moshpit of industrial painas is evident on the track "Confusion". That having been said, underneath the squalor is a thoroughlyass kicking groove. Showing how more and more all genres are blending into on. Bad Candie covers the bases with attitude and blood.
