Artist History
Wendy McNeill is wonderfully talented singer / songwriter / guitarist / dancer and choreographer. Her lyrics are insightful, hopeful and, often times, deeply personal. And as a longtime student of rhythm, Wendy incorporateseclectically percussive techniques into her guitar playing. Through sensitive ballads, narrative folk tunes & edgy acoustic rock songs, Wendy McNeill moves audiences and wins fans with every performance. After studying Dance at Grant MacEwan Community College, Wendy moved from Edmonton to Vancouver to begin performing music. She returned in 1997 and won first place in the Old Strathcona Singer Songwriter Competition. Since then she has released an independent recording and performed across Western Canada, with festival appearances at the Edmonton FolkFestival, North Country Fair, and the Regina Folk Festival. Wendy has recently released a new recording "What's Your Whiskey Baby ?" produced by bassist, Mike Lent. |
