Artist History
Slave Cradle began in the summer of 1993, when Aran Grooms first teamed with Paul Musick. Both came from very different musical backgrounds, with Aran being more into experimental, edgy music, and Paul a basic blues man with a weakness for the Grateful Dead. The original purpose was just to jam a little, but things developed, and they produced a number of originals before parting in 1994. Since that time, Paul has vanished from the planet, but Aran has progressed with other projects, Gossamer and the Morrigan, as well as others. One sober early morning, weakened with Sleep Deprivation, Aran recorded about half of 'SlipStreamBlindly', and decided to once again revive Slave Cradle as a studio project. The EP was scrapped due to some technical difficulties during recording, but these tracks soon became the debut Slave Cradle record Fallen from Heaven. *UPDATE* Since this was written, Paul has been located in North Carolina, Slave Cradle has released their most ambitious work to date, and Aran is now Erin. |
