Artist History
Jeannette Romeu is the fifth generation of her musician family. She started taking classical music and private piano lessons at the tender age of three .She wrote her first composition at age four. Her father Armando played drums with Nat King Cole. As a child, Jeannette acted and sang in television and attended to music conservatories all throughout her childhood .She learned classical, acoustic guitar in Madrid, Spain and later majored in Jazz Piano at the University of Miami ,here she was awarded with national music honors. Two years ago Jeannette formed the band "Romeo". Jeannette Romeu gave her band "ROMEO" it's name based on her last name Romeu. They played many different festivals and concerts in South Beach, Miami , New York. and many other cities. The all girl band "Romeo" was also invited to the Howard Stern tv and radio show in New York City and the response from the audience helped increase the crowd at their concerts in that city. Jeannette Romeu, composer, front lead singer, keyboard , bass and guitar player has recorded many different albums.She has shared the same stages with great musicians such as Carlos Santana, Erikah Badu, Lauryn Hill, Jungle Brothers,Rabbit in the Moon, Prodigy,Chemical Brothers, Highbred, Ziggy Marley and many others. Jeannette also had the honor to accompany live (on the keys and guitar ), Bachman Turner Overdrive. " You ain't seeing nothing yet" , "Taking care of business" . She also produced album for Drum & Bass artist Kevens.She also had the privilege to create her "House" single "Chocolate" with legendary producer Thomas Dowd.
