Artist History
Ricky David Tripp has been seen by millions of cable viewers in more than 40 broadcast appearances on The Nashville Network since 1987. He has opened concerts for such major artists as Vince Gill, John Conlee, Suzy Bogguss and Mary Chapin-Carpenter. In 1993, in a nationwide TV broadcast also heard on more than 200 radio stations, Tripp won the True Value/GMC Truck Country Showdown, the biggest country music competition in the world. Broadcast from Branson's Grand Palace, and hosted by superstar Kenny Rogers, Tripp was awarded $50,000 and a now-defunct contract with BNA Records. |
