Helicopter are something of a unique commodity at the moment. They write great songs. This alone should reserve their place in musical history, but if you add in their distinct musical style and Stephen Owen's unique vocal style, you can understand why they've generated the excitement that they have.

"MK's own Helicopter, who are definitely a band for the future with their great wall of noise and very distinctive vocalist" "Helicopter, who are definitely the current cult band in the city" "Helicopter deliver a fine line in overdriven indie guitar noise, cutting well live, accompanied by some brilliantly shambolic Keith Moon drumming" Local indie favourites Helicopter, who produced a bunch of classics which feature an excellent drum sound and a thunderous guitar sound"
