CharisMagic's a collaborative effort of songwriter Bar Watson with lyricists Spencer Watson and Spencer Watson Jr. with arranger Doug Benson and vocalist Sharon Gibbons creates a necklace of inspirational melodies. Bar and Spencer Watson's songs run from traditional to pop to jazz, including folk ballads, jazz waltzes, marches, polkas and Caribbean soft-rock melodies. Artist History Bar Watson was born in Kingston, Jamaica but moved to New York City with her family when she was ten. She has lived on Long Island and the Florida Gulf Coast. Bar started writing songs with the help of her friends in Clearwater, FL as an outlet after her husband's death and has continued since.************************ Doug Benson hails originally from Silver Spring, MD and received his B.S. in Music Composition at U. Of Maryland. Doug has played, sung, produced and recorded several albums of his own songs, the most recent of which is "A Place On The Horizon--Songs To Benefit Autism Research", available from Harvest Recording in Thurmont, MD. ********************* Sharon Gibbons is originally from Gettysburg, PA and a graduate of Messiah College in PA, where she minored in music. She has worked as both music teacher and music therapist. Sharon has been singing on stage since she was six, written numerous Children's songs and currently leads her church music worship team in Frederick, MD.*****************Kurt Johnson hails from suburban Philadelphia, PA and now resides with his wife Mary Beth and their three children in Waynesboro, PA. ****************** Spencer Watson is Bar's son and writes lyrics and poetry in his spare time.
