Artist History Sometime in December 1991 over a quantity of beers Kane and Alex decided to form a band..... With impressive collective experience, they began to write a number of new tunes and rework some unused songs from previous outfits. At the latter end of January 1992 BLEEDING JELLY EYES was spawned... At that time North Queensland may have been a nice place to holiday but not a great place to start an original band. The scene, though small, was loyal, sweet and incestuous. Fish Bum Lips, The Dogchairs, Box Monsters, Dogfish and Fred The Baddy are just some of the fun-loving and infamous bands that BJE members also played in. Being a formative part of Cairns’ underground music scene also meant organising benefit nights and special events leading to the Earsex experience - an eargasmic showcase for alternative acts. Over the years bands, songs, brain cells and drummers may have all come and gone, but with the introduction of heart-throb Adam, this “power trio” has now come of age. With recent support slots for Screamfeeder, Regurgitator, Silverchair and The Tea Party - the time is ripe for the release of their debut CD
