Artist History
Betty Goo formed in the summer of 1994 with no expectations.
Their first show was on Woodstock weekend and they were glad to be in Boston and not in the alternarock mudpit.
Since then, they have played over a hundred shows in the Northeast mostly,
had airplay on commercial radio across the country, played in various music festivals, including CMJ and NXNE.
They are currently writing material for a new album, and playing shows in the Boston area. |

Press Reviews
"Betty Goo shows a genuine musical ability on Gooicide. The songs here showcase the work of real songwriters. They understand the fundamentals of a good song, and have the musicianship to translate the idea to sound. Just listen to the first track "Buzz", with its terrific vocals and power pop guitar. It just weaves itself around great hooks, shifting from quiet to loud and back again. It's a great song, and should be recognized as a local gem. The real interesting thing is that this whole album is chock full of examples of great song writing. Pick any song and you'll find something to praise." - N.E. Music Archive 10/98 |
