Artist description
Within the magnitude of bands coming from the Sacramento Valley, Wrecluse stands apart from the masses and takes their place on the music scene with an explosion of raw talent and originality. Sounding unlike any other band, they have an unbelievably perfect mix of rock, metal, and alternative sounds that come together to create music that is both melodic and heavy hitting. This unique sound is made possible by the different, but paralleled, styles represented by the five members of the band. Mike Fuller is a dynamic singer whose chilling voice and electrifying enthusiasm give any crowd the energy it seeks. Aaron Goforth, guitarist and primary songwriter, is amazing in his original riffs and ability to make a song sound new each time it’s heard. Adam Cossman, a second guitarist, can be described in one word, metal. Together, Aaron and Adam create the unique guitar sound you can only find listening to Wrecluse. The bassist, Chris Schroeder, sets the attitude of each song using both deep and fast chops that get the feet tapping and body moving. Matt Hoagland, the drummer, brings the Wrecluse sound together with heavy beats and amazing fills that complete the definition of Wrecluse. |

Press Reviews
Blatant Disregard, Wrecluse, Say10, Esoteric, Devoid The Epicenter Friday, February 16 The Nor-Cal metal scene is really thriving with some excellent talent. This night featured five bands that are on the vanguard of this developing scene hailing from the Chico-Yuba City area. There is a definite lack of venues willing to host this unruly music, but it finds a home at the Epicenter, which has held several well-attended shows in the past year. Despite minimal promotion a good two hundred or so people showed for this evening's event. Now I know that it sometimes takes careful listening to fully appreciate metal vocals, but Wrecluse really hit a chord with there song called 'Normal' about being in and out of the norm and the consequences thereof. They also came off with a rocked rendition of 2Live Crew's "Me so horny." Mike Fuller, Wrecluse frontman, would like all to know that they have a site at www.wrecluse.net, and contact at wrecluse@hotmail.com. I've been checking out their three song CD that was available at the show. Nice work. -Lars Logan, Synthesis Music Magazine, Chico, California |
