Artist History Rogério Krieger began his musical studies with his father, whom learned the basic notions of musical theory. With 10 years old he ingresses in the Conservatory of his city where he studied the technique of the violin with distinguished teacher Moysés de Castro. He was admitted to the superior School of Music of Paraná state with 17 years, where he could improve the technique and the interpretation of violin with teacher Paulo Bosísio, of Max Rostal's School.In this time being invited by conductor Roberto de Regina, he participated in the Project of Camerata Antiqua of Curitiba city, group with which he recorded 5 disks, also acting as soloist and concertino in several concerts and several first Brazilian auditions of unpublished contemporary works.In 1983 he came in tourné for the main Brazilian cities: Rio de Janeiro (Cecília Meireles Room), São Paulo (Artistic Cultural Theater), Brasília (National Theater), Salvador (Castro Alves Theater) and Porto Alegre (Theater of OSPA). In 1985 he entered to the cast of the symphony orchestra of Paraná state where he developed an artistic work in the symphonic music area, opera, ballet, contemporary work recordings as soloist and Concert Master, together with some of the most important conductors of the present time like: John Neschling, Cláudio Santoro, Helmut Imig, Alceo Bochino, Roberto Schnorenberg, Norton Morozovich. With this Orchestra he executed memorable concerts with several Brazilian artists and other international exponents like Jean Pierre Rampal, Artur Moreira Lima, Nelson Freire, Arnaldo Cohen, Alexandre Klein.As soloist, the critic of Jornal do Brasil considered him as the most versatile Brazilian violinist, because his repertoire embraces a vast area of works, from recordings of the Haendel’s Thick Concerts and J. S. Bach, going by daring interpretations of Beethoven's sonatas, Schumann, with incursions for the virtuosi works of Kreisler, Vitorio Monti, Wieniawski, Paganini and Mendelssohn, even interpretations of composers closer of our time like Duke Ellington, Toots Thielemans and Tom Jobim, these last ones, for instance, interpreted with a frank language influenced by the American and Brazilian North Jazz. It stands out in this item, memorable dates as the Prize of Special Revelation as better instrumentalist in the Festival of Music of Maringá city in 1987, that he received from the hands of conductor César Camargo Mariano, and also the First Brazilian Audition of the Concert for Violin of Vivaldi: La Tempestade di Mare.As artistic director, he was attached regent of the Curitiba’s city Camera Orchestra, group that sustained the nucleus for the formation of the Paraná’s state symphony orchestra.Recently it acted in the direction of the Juvenile Orchestra of the Pedroso’s Musical Association (Portugal), coming at several places of the north of the Portugal with a repertoire especially orchestrated by Rogério Krieger elaborated for this group.As composer he has been developing a creation work mainly in the area of instrumental music with a collection of composed works for: orchestra of strings, symphonic for great orchestra, quartet with wood, two with violin and piano, trios, violin soil, fantasies with strings and percussion, music for Ballet, quintet jazz fusion and sound-tracks; some of his compositions were already exhibited at countries as Portugal, Brazil, Angola, Spain and England.Now he is teacher of the Conservatory of Music of Porto. ******* Rogério Krieger, Brasileiro natural de Curitiba, iniciou os seus estudos musicais com o pai, com quem aprendeu as noções básicas de teoria musical. Com 10 anos entrou para o Conservatório de sua cidade onde estudou a técnica do violino com o insigne professor Moysés de Castro. Foi admitido por concurso à Escola superior de Música e Belas Artes do Paraná aos 17 anos, onde pode aperfeiçoar a técnica e a interpretação violinística com o professor Paulo Bosísio, da Escola de Max Rostal.Nesta época a convite do Maestro Roberto de Regina, participou no Projeto da Camerata Antiqua de Curitiba, grupo com o qual gravou 5 discos, atuando também como solista e concertino em diversos concertos e várias primeiras audições Brasileiras de obras contemporâneas inéditas.Em 1983 apresentou-se em tourné pelas principais cidades Brasileiras: Rio de Janeiro ( Sala Cecília Meireles ), São Paulo ( Teatro Cultural Artística ), Brasília ( Teatro Nacional ), Salvador ( Teatro Castro Alves ) e Porto alegre ( Teatro da OSPA ). Em 1985 ingressou ao elenco da Orquestra Sinfônica do Paraná onde desenvolveu um trabalho artístico no campo da música sinfônica, ópera, ballet, gravações de obra contemporâneas como solista e Concert Master, em Conjunto com alguns dos mais importantes maestros da atualidade como: John Neschling, Cláudio Santoro, Helmut Imig, Alceo Bochino, Roberto Schnorenberg, Norton Morozovich. Com esta Orquestra executou memoráveis concertos com diversos artistas Brasileiros e outros expoentes internacionais como Jean Pierre Rampal, Artur Moreira Lima, Nelson Freire, Arnaldo Cohen, Alexandre Klein.Como solista, a crítica do Jornal do Brasil considerou-o como o mais versátil violinista Brasileiro, pois o seu repertório abrange um vasto campo de obras, desde gravações dos Concertos Grossos de Haendel e J. S. Bach, passando por interpretações ousadas das sonatas de Beethoven, Schumann, com incursões pelas obras virtuosísticas de Kreisler, Vitorio Monti, Wieniawski, Paganini e Mendelssohn, até interpretações de compositores mais próximos da nossa época como Duke Ellington, Toots Thielemans e Tom Jobim, estes últimos, por exemplo, interpretados com uma franca linguagem influenciada pelo Jazz Norte Americano e Brasileiro. Destaca-se também neste item, datas memoráveis como o Prêmio de Revelação Especial como melhor instrumentista no Festival de Música de Maringá em 1987, que recebeu das mãos do maestro César Camargo Mariano, e também a Primeira Audição Brasileira do Concerto para Violino de Vivaldi: La Tempestade di Mare.Como diretor artístico, foi regente adjunto da Orquestra de Câmera de Curitiba, grupo que sustentou o núcleo para a formação da Orquestra Sinfônica do Paraná.Recentemente atuou na direção da Orquestra Juvenil da Associação Musical de Pedroso (Portugal), apresentando-se em vários locais do norte do País com um repertório orquestrado por Rogério Krieger especialmente elaborados para este grupo.Como compositor tem desenvolvido um trabalho de criação principalmente na área de música instrumental com uma coleção de obras compostas para: orquestra de cordas, sinfônica para grande orquestra, quarteto com madeiras, duas com violino e piano, trios, violino solo, fantasias com cordas e percussão, música para Ballet, quinteto Jazz fusão e trilhas sonoras; algumas de suas composições já foram exibidas em países como Portugal, Brasil, Angola, Espanha e Inglaterra.Atualmente é professor do quadro do Conservatório de Música do Porto.
