Artist History
Phil Anstrom started his musical career in Pennsylvania in the early seventies where he played lead guitar with several popular rock bands at Penn State University. After graduating in 1975, he continued to slug it out in rock and roll clubs throughout Pennsylvania and upstate New York. He moved to Austin, Texas in 1979, where he’s been a fixture on the thriving music scene of the “Live Music Capitol of the World” ever since. Currently Phil plays lead guitar for Rotel and the Hot Tomatoes, the queens of Beehive rock, who, according to a recent National Public Radio broadcast, are President George W. Bush’s favorite band. He also owns and operates his own recording studio, “The Chicken Shack.” |
