Artist History
Healing Tongue is the realization of an on again - off again project that Chris and Dom had been working on for five years. After a succesful one and a half years of writing, rehearsing and gigging as a complete band, it all came to an end...temporarily. Healing Tongue is back and better than ever; coming soon to a flea market near you!!! |

Press Reviews
CD Review From Harder Beat(Dallas-Fort Worth)Healing Tongue - 5–Song Demo, Affordable Sound (Austin)Hailing from Corpus Christi, Healing Tongue is doing something unusual to traditional metal. They say their influences range from Miles Davis to Morbid Angel and, after one listen, that's blatantly obvious. Good metal that's funked up with jazzy Latin riffs is not something many bands think of putting together, but it works very well for Healing Tongue. All songs are winners, but "B Set," "Trippin' With A D" and "Suenos Muertos" are the cream of the crop. Band mates Dave Hernandez (vocals), Chris Gamez (guitar), Vidio Guajardo (bass) and Dom Galindo (drums) had better get busy on a full-length effort, because five songs isn't going to satisfy fans for long. Catch them next time they're through town, you won't be sorry you did. (Dixie Beasley) |
