Artist description
the character behind Trailer Star is a 40-something ex-art student who may or may not live in a trailer or caravan park as we like to call them here in England. He may or may not be totally deludeed but he's been obsessively writing about Americana subjects for 20 years now. This pursuit of the obscure and trivial means his trailer contains a lot of books and records but alas no true love so these heartbroken songs will have to do. Or as Charlie Rich sang....life has its little ups and downs. His greatest ambition is to be tracked down and interviewed by Peter Guralnick or if he can't make it Greil Marcus. Trailer Star...the Thames Valley Dock Boggs????? |
