Artist History
Gerry Cambridge and Findlay Napier met in the Scotia Bar in Glasgow about three years ago but Gerry had, for the first time in his life, left his Harps at home, but this didn't stop him whooping along. The pair didn't see each other for over two years due to Findlay's “heavy workload at the RSAMD” and Gerry's job as resident poet at Hugh MacDermaid's cottage. However they have at last united to create a new blend of country blues and folk. Findlay's solid acoustic guitar supports his strong bluesy voice while Cambridge's distinctive harmonica playing soars between the melancholy and the intense.Their music ranges from self penned to seventies, country blues to new country but all delivered in a sensitive and unpretentious fashion… |
