Artist description
All-night street light filters in between the dusty slats of your venetian blinds. A Mack truck hornblast jars through the window on the avenue that never sleeps. Garbage is noisily collected by sanitation engineers in the pre-dawn haze. This is the apartment ambience, your cocoon of sleep and the backdrop of your daily life. You finally get up in the late afternoon morning, and get down into that little room next to the kitchen, the 'THROOM. I mean, really get down -- the place is full of engines making beautiful noise. It's sheer sonic poetry, from the toilet to the sink to the shower to your electric shaver and hairdryer. Uh oh, there goes your day. You've been mesmerized, caught in an angel trap. Condemned to spend the rest of your time in the tiny spaces, tripping on the idea that every sound is a little motor whirring around and around and around like electrons orbiting a nucleus. What's that clicking sound? Somebody else is here, caught up in the same loopy idea. |

Years later ... you both escape the angel trap, permanently altered and alienated, on a mission to AMPLIFY and DISTRIBUTE. Everyone must hear this. Leave the outside world to John Cage; a universe exists here in your apartment. And it will embrace and assimilate... |

Press Reviews
"Whirr & Click transcend the boundaries of what is appropriate in music. Their sonic potty humor will leave you gasping for air." -- The Way We Whirr. "For a taste-free look at an ill new sound palette, check out Whirr & Click. This music hits below the belt. Their concept is both over the top and under the bottom. If splat is your color, then you'll love it. This new puppy refuses to be housebroken. This cactus bristles and pricks. Makes you see kitchens and bathrooms in a hole new light." -- Clique Magazine. |
