Artist History
Hi we're the Shank-O's, we're from Andersuck Indiana, and we want to be anywhere else. Actually our town isn't that bad... it's just really dull. We're nothing more than a pop punk/emo/ska/that new metal rap thingy that everyone likes so much, band that just tries to have fun. We like to think that we have our own style but we are also mature enough to know that no one has a unique style, but we can all make believe... can't we? In the beginning Steve and Dave hated Grant, they would follow him around school and make fun of his band at the time... The Sokols. They would chant things like... "hey, can i be a Starwars geek too?", or "you're fat". Grant would reply cleverly, "shut up... butt-hole, at least my band doesn't suck". The Sokols would take breaks from practice and prank Kyle McCarthy the singer of Steve and Dave's band Halogen. Later it was discovered that it was all Kyle's fault because he wanted to learn to play the pan flute. Later on Dave and Grant became friends and wanted to start a band, the only problem was they didn't have a drummer. So Grant was hanging out with Steve at Applewood 9 (the best movie theatre in Andersuck and it's still pathetic) and he decided to let Steve in the band. Steve then introduced Grant to Ryan and he started playing drums at our first practice... literally. It turns out that Grant had a class with Ryan his sophomore year, and Ryan just didn't talk... ever... he still doesn't... I think that there is something wrong with him... hell I live with the bastard and he hasn't spoken to me since we moved in... creepy. Since then we have played a couple of shows... and gotten' signed to a little lable called M-Train Records... So like us damn it. |
