Artist description
No limits. If we like a sound, we play it. We range from punk to folk, and have a certain unique sound that doesn't register as any specific genre. We're simply out there to have fun and make music, with slim hopes to one day play a few shows. |

Musical Influences
Our influences are hard to limit to anything specific, we're a collage of anything that appeals to us. We don't have a distinct, one-genre sound. |

Artist History
Back in the day, (summer of '00) two guys named Mike and Brett wanted to start a primarily punk/ska band. Steve was at Brett's house with Brett and Mike, and Brett asked if he wanted to sing. Of course, Steve said yes, and before you know it, Steve called Jim who had a drum set. (He couldn't play, but he had a drum set, all that counts.) So, Mike, Brett, Steve, and Jim spent a few restless nights trying to get one song, which eventually formed into "Why Not?"... after Mike and Jim completely didn't care anymore, Steve and Brett played together just for fun. One day, Jeremy came over, and picked up Mike bass. Having never played bass before, he decided he wanted to learn. After a few days, he was good enough to play with us. So, about mid November of 2000, we started getting our crap together, and came up with 5 covers and 7 originals. In the beginning of March, we completed the ensemble by acquiring our drummer, Chris. So now, we, the Half-Witz, are looking for things to do and shows to play... and the saga continues |
